Description of diploma courses
The beginner’s diploma is a comprehensive training program for fresh men and women in the beauty industry, wanting to acquire new skills in hairdressing, beauty therapy and massage therapy. The age limit is 16 years and at least a 4 yrs college education. The applicants are going to acquired skills to be able to express themselves freely with creativity and imagination in the art and the science of beauty, meeting the demands of the latest market demands in a duration of 12 months including 2 months of internship. This will require between 2000 to 2500 hours of theory, practices and field work. They seat the state diploma in vocational certification (NVQ). These graduates are in very high demand in the hair and beauty markets as salon/spa employees, cosmetics sales agents in the major etc. cities

After acquiring the validation of competence in the beginners diploma the more ambitious student who are gearing towards investing in their own salon projects or become a salon or spa supervisor will go for an intermediate diploma.
Building on initial skills of the beginner diploma, the apprentice will quickly do a revision of the main articulations of the beginner’s diploma with intensive studies in the human biology and dermatology/ cosmetology.
The student is introduced to more advance technologies and cosmetics procedures, the program starts to consider very seriously body treatment or weight and body form management. This program also opens the way further to enter the area of teaching and working in the development of cosmetics brands.

These graduates go in for one year of beauty courses in hairdressing or beauty therapy. They require an intermediate diploma as prerequisite. In special case on evaluation, professionals with a good academic background and a proof of good professional experience for more than 5 years can be eligible. At the end of these training candidates will be able to head a team in a salon, handle practical courses in training. Do all salon procedures in either hairdressing or beauty therapy, they can equally work in the industry with the product development or quality control team.
